George Karagiorgos was born on the 31st of August, 1983 in Athens, and has graduated from the Faculty of Physical Education & Sport Science of the University of Athens, specialised in windsurfing.
His first contact with windsurfing was at the age of 15. Despite the fact that his residence was far from the sea, this did not prevent him from being in the water and training hard every day, regardless of the circumstances. Within the last 15 years of his athletic journey as a member of the National team of Youth and Men, from 1998 to 2013, he has won major awards and medals at National, Balkan, European and World level. In the meantime, he has collaborated with some of the greatest athletes of this sport including Nikos Kaklamanakis,Byron Kokkalanis , Michael Gebhardt (USA), Gal Fridman (ISR), Fabian Heidegger (ITA), Nimrod Mashiah (ISR), Toni Wilheim (GER). From 2002 until today, he has collaborated with Gal Fridman, Gold medalist in Athens 2004 , in Rio 2016 Olympic Games he was the coach of the Greek Olympic Team and coach of the 5th Olympic champion Byron Kokkalani.
At the moment, alongside with his athletic activities, he wants to convey his scientific and athletic skills to individuals and athletes of all ages, who are interested in the secrets of sailing, and especially windsurfing.
